A Christmas Stitch Story: Two Ways to Join StitchSonnet

A Christmas Stitch Story: Two Ways to Join StitchSonnet

A handmade gift can carry a memory: the person you made it for, the colour they always choose, or the quiet evening when you finally finished. This season, StitchSonnet has two ways to share that experience. Send us a Christmas stitch story, or complete your embroidery practice book and enter the full-book challenge.

Both activities close January 10, 2027 at 23:59 UTC. They have different requirements and separate rewards. Read the full activity rules before sending your entry.

1. Tell your Christmas stitch story

Who are you stitching for? Is there a family tradition, a small kindness or a memory behind your work? Tell us in your own words. Your story does not need to be dramatic. A thoughtful account of why you made something is a good place to begin.

If you are planning a gift for someone who wants to learn, our guide to choosing a thoughtful embroidery gift offers practical ways to make the first session feel approachable.

We will select 20 storytellers. Each selected participant receives one StitchSonnet Beginner Embroidery Practice Book Kit, the complete kit currently sold in our store.

Email your name, country, story title and story to hello@stitchsonnet.com. Photos or a video link are welcome. We will reply with the selection result. If selected, we will request sharing permission separately and collect delivery details privately.

2. Complete your book and share the process

The full-book challenge celebrates the work across the whole book, including original embroidery on every blank DIY page. The first 99 qualifying participants receive one embroidery pattern and materials kit valued at US$199, chosen from the options provided by our customer-service team.

The practice book is supplied unstitched. Its 25 removable cotton pages comprise 6 foundation pages, 6 repeat-practice pages, 3 creative pages and 10 blank DIY pages; the cover is not included in that count. The digital handbook’s 106 stitches describe the reference guide, not additional physical pages or a required number of videos.

  • Take clear photos of every completed page.
  • Record a complete, page-by-page showcase video. Do not skip pages; a highlights clip is not enough.
  • Describe how you felt after finishing, how you made the book and what advice you would give another maker.
  • Post on both Instagram and TikTok with #StitchSonnet and #StitchSonnetChallenge and a clear disclosure that the challenge offers a reward.
  • Email the evidence and both social links to hello@stitchsonnet.com.

You do not need to film every hour of stitching. We need a clear view of the finished book. If your video is too large to attach, send a working link that our team can open without requesting access.

Our embroidery photography and complete-book video guide covers lighting, page order and the final file checks.

What happens after you submit?

Our team reviews each entry and replies by email. For the challenge, places follow the time a complete qualifying submission is received, subject to verification. Sending an email alone does not reserve a reward. We will update the remaining challenge places on Instagram each day during the activity.

If your challenge reward is confirmed, the email will include our customer-service WhatsApp contact. Add our team to choose one available pattern. Once your choice and delivery details are confirmed, we will immediately arrange shipment.

Your work and your permission

We will only publish the photos, video and written content you explicitly authorize. Challenge showcase permission is separate from reward eligibility. Private email addresses, phone numbers and delivery details will not appear in the showcase. Honest feedback is welcome; a positive review is not required.

Rewards can be delivered only to destinations we currently serve. We do not ship to Alaska or Hawaii. See our shipping policy.
